Housing

Do This As Soon As Possible!

In all seriousness, Martha’s Vineyard has become a totally awesome fall destination, but because of that, prices tend to sky rocket in January for the following year.

We highly recommend renting a house with a group. It will be the most economical option (and not to mention way more fun!). Here are a few places to check out:

House Rentals:

AirBnB
VRBO
HomeAway
Sandpiper Realty

If you’re more of a hotel crew, these are our favorites:

Nobnocket Inn Mention the Littlefield-O’Day wedding when booking to receive a 15% discount!
The Winnetu
Harbor View Hotel
Hob Knob
Harbourside Inn
Vineyard Square
Summer Camp (this is in Oak Bluffs, but great location – about a 15 minute cab from all the festivities)
Edgartown Commons

Travel

By Air

You can fly direct to Martha’s Vineyard from JFK or Logan — or connect through one of those airports if you are coming from elsewhere!

By Land (& then by Sea)

There are ferry’s that leave from:

New Bedford – Seastreak
Hyannis – Hyline Cruises
Woods Hole – Steamship Authority

If you are planning to bring a car over, you must drive to Woods Hole and make a ferry reservation for your car. The other locations have long term parking, but are passenger ferry’s only.

If you are staying close to downtown Edgartown, you will not need a car. However, Martha’s Vineyard is not a walkable island, so if you think you might like to explore other parts of the awesome island (and/or go to the beach), a car will definitely be helpful.

Sun ‘n’ Fun Rentals
Buses
Public transportation will get you anywhere on the island, but it won’t be quick.
